However, if the person is holding a weight of 100 kilograms, it would take a change of 10 kilograms before they would be able to detect the difference. This means that larger stimuli require larger changes to be perceived as different.

Weber’s law applies to a variety of sensory modalities including vision, hearing, and touch. It has several practical applications in many fields, such as manufacturing, marketing, and economics.

Overall, Weber’s law highlights how perception is influenced by changes in the physical world and can help explain some of the limitations of human sensory abilities.
