PRR’s recognize PAMP’s
PRRs (Pattern Recognition Receptors) recognize PAMPs (Pathogen-Associated Molecular Patterns). PAMPs are the molecular patterns that are present on the surface of microbes, which include bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. PAMPs are recognized by PRRs, which are expressed on the surface of immune cells such as macrophages, dendritic cells, and neutrophils. PRRs include Toll-like receptors (TLRs), NOD-like receptors (NLRs), and RIG-like receptors (RLRs), and they recognize PAMPs through their conserved molecular structures.
