Condensation
when water vapor cools and changes into water droplets
Condensation is the process by which water vapor (or any gas) changes into a liquid state. This occurs when warm, humid air comes into contact with a cooler surface, causing the water vapor to lose energy and cluster together as liquid droplets. The most common example of condensation is water droplets forming on the outside of a cold glass on a hot summer day. Condensation is a crucial component of the water cycle as it is responsible for the formation of clouds, precipitation and the replenishment of water bodies. It is also a key process in various technological and industrial applications, such as air conditioning, refrigeration, and distillation.
