Abnormalities or obstructions in the posterior nasal aperture can lead to breathing difficulties, snoring, or other respiratory problems. Surgery may be required to correct these issues. Additionally, the posterior nasal aperture can be affected by inflammation or infections, such as sinusitis or allergies. These conditions may cause swelling or blockage of the aperture, leading to symptoms such as congestion and nasal discharge.
