Biceps brachii is a two-headed muscle of the upper arm that is responsible for flexion of the elbow and forearm supination (turning the palm of the hand upward). The long head originates at the supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula and the short head originates at the coracoid process of the scapula.

The muscle is innervated by the musculocutaneous nerve and receives its blood supply from the brachial artery. The biceps brachii is an important muscle for arm strength and is commonly targeted in strength training exercises such as bicep curls.
