Allah is the Arabic word for God, and is the primary name for the one God in Islam. Muslims believe that Allah is the only deity worthy of worship, and that He is the creator, sustainer, and ruler of the universe. The Islamic belief about Allah is based on the Quran, which is considered the final and authoritative word of God, as well as the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
Muslims believe that Allah has 99 names, each representing a different aspect of His nature and attributes, such as the Merciful, the Just, the Forgiving, the Kind, the All-Knowing, the All-Powerful, and the Provider. Muslims also believe that Allah is transcendent and incomparable, and cannot be fully understood by human beings. Nonetheless, Muslims strive to develop a personal relationship with Allah through worship, submission, obedience, and gratitude, and to reflect His qualities in their own character and actions.
