It acts as a binding, packing, and supporting material for various organs and structures of the body. Connective tissue includes a wide variety of cells, fibers, and ground substance. Some examples of connective tissue include bone, cartilage, adipose tissue (fat), blood, and loose or dense connective tissue.

3. Muscle tissue: As the name suggests, muscle tissue is responsible for movement. It is composed of cells called muscle fibers that have the ability to contract. There are three types of muscle tissue: skeletal muscle, cardiac muscle, and smooth muscle. Skeletal muscle is attached to bones and is responsible for voluntary movements. Cardiac muscle is found in the heart and is responsible for pumping blood. Smooth muscle is found in the walls of organs and blood vessels, and it controls involuntary movements.

4. Nervous tissue: Nervous tissue is specialized for communication and control in the body. It consists of two main types of cells: neurons and neuroglia. Neurons are the functional units responsible for generating and transmitting electrical signals. These signals allow for communication between different parts of the body. Neuroglia, also known as glial cells, support and protect neurons. Nervous tissue is found in the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.
