The negatively charged balloon repels electrons in the neutral object and attracts positive charges instead, causing an excess of positive charges on the surface of the neutral object.

Another way to charge an object positively is through direct contact with a positively charged object. For example, if a positively charged object, such as a comb rubbed with a piece of silk, touches a neutral object, some of the positive charges from the comb will transfer to the neutral object, making it positively charged.

It is important to note that positive and negative charges attract each other. Therefore, a positively charged object will attract negatively charged objects or particles. For instance, when a positively charged balloon is brought close to a neutral object, it exerts an attractive force on the negatively charged electrons in the neutral object, causing them to move towards the positively charged balloon.

Understanding the concept of positively charged objects is essential not only in the field of physics but also in various applications such as electricity, magnetism, and even the behavior of atoms and molecules.
