Magnetic fields are also used in many industrial applications to sort metal objects or in electronic devices like hard disk drives, speakers, and transformers.

The strength of a magnetic field can be measured using units like Tesla or Gauss. Magnetic fields can be classified as permanent or temporary. Permanent magnets, as the name suggests, maintain their magnetic field indefinitely, while temporary magnets lose their magnetism once the magnetic field is removed. Additionally, there are also electromagnets which use an electric current to create a temporary magnetic field within a wire coil.
