The angle of incidence is the angle formed by the longitudinal axis of the airplane and the chord of the wing. It is measured by the angle at which the wing is attached to the fuselage. The angle of incidence is fixed and cannot be changed by the pilot.

The angle of incidence is the angle between the chord line of an airfoil (the straight line connecting the leading and trailing edges of the wing) and the relative wind. In other words, it is the angle at which the wing is meeting the oncoming airflow. It is an important aerodynamic property of an aircraft that affects the lift and drag generated by the wing. A higher angle of incidence can result in a higher angle of attack and, therefore, more lift, but also more drag.
