Genome vs Genetics
A genome is organism’s complete set of DNA including all genes. In other words, all the genetic info found within an organism/cellGenetics refers to the study of individual genes and their functions.
Genetics is the study of individual genes and their roles in inheritance, while genomics is the study of all of an organism’s genes, their interactions, and their influence on an organism’s traits. Genetics often focuses on the study of a particular gene or set of genes and their variations, whereas genomics looks at the entire genome and its functions. Additionally, genetics often involves the study of inheritance patterns within families, while genomics tends to involve large-scale analysis of genetic data across populations.
