While self-image tends to be more stable, self-esteem can fluctuate depending on the individual’s experiences and emotions.
Having a positive self-concept is important for an individual’s mental health and well-being. It is essential to nurture self-concept in children and assist individuals in developing a healthy and positive self-image. This can be done by promoting positive reinforcement, providing opportunities for personal growth and development, and encouraging individuals to focus on their strengths and abilities.
